Bruce Fredenburg, author, M.S., LMFT, with Board Certification in Clinical Hypnosis has been a California Licensed Marriage and Family therapist since 1982. He has more than 30 of years experience working with parents, teens and younger children. He also has extensive training in divorce related issues and blended families, mediation and collaborative practice. Bruce has additional training and experience in the management of chronic pain, dealing with trauma, chemical dependency and addictions.He is the co-author of Home Will Never Be the Same Again: A Guide for Adult Children of Gray Divorce, published by Rowman and Littlefield Publishers and available on Amazon or directly from the publisher.
As one of the founding members of Collaborative Divorce Solutions of Orange County (CDSOC) in 2003, he serves as a Divorce Coach, Child Specialist and Case Manager. Bruce has held various board positions for CDSOC, including the position of Chair of CDSOC’s Training and Education Committee. From 20011 - 2019 he served on the Leadership Team and and as a Senior Trainer for the Collaborative Divorce Education Institute (CDEI), which a non-profit organization whose mission was to provide excellent training for collaborative professionals, as well as education for the public about peaceful and respectful solutions for families who are restructuring before, during and after the divorce process. As a member of CDEI’s Training Team, he trained Attorneys, Mental Health Professionals and Financial Specialists in various aspects of Collaborative Divorce.
Bruce has been is a frequent multiple times at California’s annual statewide conference for collaborative professionals, has presented to the International Association of Collaborative Professionals annual Forum and has appeared on the Time Warner Public television series “How to Get a Divorce”. Bruce was recruited to create and teach parenting classes for Adoptive and Foster Parents for County of Orange Social Services Agency. An award winning speaker, he has presented training programs for corporations, government agencies, schools, and professional associations since 1989.
He has published articles on Male-Female Communication for “Sharing Ideas,” a national magazine dedicated to professional speakers, trainers and meeting planners. He was awarded Speaker of the Year by the Professional Speakers Network. Bruce is the author of many Audio Learning and Self-Help Programs, including “Men and Women: How to Understand Each Other,” “Take the Pain Out of Change,” and “Profound Relaxation.” Bruce’s most recent self-help programs developed and released in 2011, are “Sleep Solution” and “Anxiety Solution.” In 2018 Bruce was chosen by Collaborative Practice California to receive the Eureka Award which recognizes and honors "those who have made significant contributions and demonstrated an abiding dedication to establishing and sustaining Collaborative Practice in California.”
